Chick-a-Biddy Boogie (1947)
I'm a Lonely Little Petunia (in an Onion Patch) (1947). "Petunia" is the only purely* Two Ton recording that I know of that’s been reissued on CD. (*“Purely” because Two Ton’s joint effort with the Hoosier Hot Shots on “Sioux City Sue” has been reissued several times.)
Too Fat Polka (1947). Arthur Godfrey owns the franchise on this classic novelty song.
Red's Back in Town! (1948)
An Old Flame Never Dies (1948). Two Ton the crooner--and a darned good one he was.
My Little Pup with the Patent Leather Nose (1949).
Oogoo the Worm (1949). A rather gruesome little kiddies' ditty.
Put Your Shoes On, Lucy (1949). Believe it or not, Petula Clark had a hit recording of this in England--in 1949!
All Right, Louis, Drop the Gun (1949)
I Like Stinky Cheese (1949). "I Like Stinky Cheese" may well be the best known of Two Ton's songs, having been played on Dr. Demento's nationally syndicated radio show.
Why Fall in Love with a Stranger (1949). A fairly rare example of Two Ton Baker singing a love song.
I've Got Tears in My Ears (1950). Various web sites devoted to truly absurd song lyrics (and there are many) all devote special attention to “I’ve got tears in my ears (from lyin’ on my back in my bed while I cry over you).” It is, as they say, a classic.
